Headteacher's Welcome
Thank you for taking an interest in Huntcliff School. We are proud of our reputation for achieving high standards in a caring and supportive environment. Our small size - with a maximum of 104 in a year group - allows us to build strong relationships between staff students and parents. We are committed to achieving the best for every child, developing their individual strengths in a friendly but purposeful atmosphere.
We have high expectations of every member of our school community, with everyone encouraged to aspire to excellence. The OFSTED inspection in January 2007 states 'High quality teaching and effective leadership and management are helping the school to maintain high standards year on year' This success is a credit to the partnership between our students, staff and parents.
The school provides many opportunities beyond the classroom. We have an extensive programme of visits within the local area and further afield and a growing range of after school clubs. We have welcomed our strengthening links with the local and wider community, and our new partnership with a school in China.
From September 2009 Saltburn Learning Campus will provide a Children's Centre, Secondary School and Primary School on the current Huntcliff School site. We are proud to be part of this innovative development and look forward to welcoming families from across the area to our new facilities. The secondary accommodation opened in September 2008.
