I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Design and Technology at Huntcliff School. Here at Huntcliff School we are very passionate about D&T, our purpose built classrooms/workshops ensure that the lessons we deliver are both stimulating and exciting. We are constantly upgrading equipment and resources to ensure that we remain at the forefront of design and technology education.
As a department we share a vision, it is that vision which we are building our department on:

The Importance of Design and Technology
In design and technology pupils combine practical and technological skills with creative thinking to design and make products and systems that meet human needs. They learn to use current technologies and consider the impact of future technological developments. They learn to think creatively and intervene to improve the quality of life, solving problems as individuals and members of a team.
Key Stage 3
As a department we believe that it is vitally important that we teach our pupils the skills required to work and live in a modern technological society. It is for this reason we ensure that the projects we offer at key stage 3 are wide and varied to provide a full spectrum of skills and knowledge to our pupils. Our schemes of work are constantly changing and developing to keep inline with the changes in the modern world. The projects we currently offer are:

Key Stage 4
At key stage 4 we believe that it is vitally important to give our pupils the best possible chance of achieving their full potential. We have tailored our courses to give our pupils a set of options that are exciting, interesting and useful, ensuring that our pupils get the best possible start for a wide variety of careers. The options we currently offer are
