Huntcliff has a strong tradition of music making. The music department offers a wide variety of opportunities to develop skills in performance, composition, theory, focussed listening and appraising. There is a strong academic approach to understanding theory, compositional skills and performance techniques. This ensures that pupils leave Huntcliff with a balance of musical skills.

Several instrumental teachers from a variety of providers visit the school each week. Currently available are lessons in flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, euphonium, tuba, French horn, violin, viola, cello, double bass, drum kit, keyboards, piano, acoustic guitar and electric guitar. Vocal tuition is due to start very soon.

If there is an instrument that you want to play but it isn’t listed above then don’t hesitate to contact staff at school and we will endeavour to find an appropriate tutor for you.
