This document aims to give parents and governors an overview of the structure so that it is widely known who should be contacted with questions or concerns. The Pastoral Structure: The attendance officer is Mrs Ing, and she should be contacted about matters relating to absence from school The key person for each student is his or her tutor, and he/she will normally be the first point of contact if you have any concerns. Each year group has a Head of Year who will move up through the school with your son/daughter. These staff would be the next point of contact. In 2006/07 these are Year 7: Mr Wright Year 8: Mr Thorpe Year 9: Mrs Lince Year 10 Mr Denis Year 11: Mrs Maycroft The Assistant Headteacher (Pastoral), Mrs Beacham has overall responsibility for all pastoral matters, including the delivery of PSCHE. The Curriculum Structure If there are any concerns over lessons, the key person for each student is their subject teacher, and he/she will normally be the first point of contact. The next point of contact is the head of subject. The Educational Needs Coordinator is Mrs Biggs. Responsibility for the timetable, including matters relating to the choice of options rests with Mrs Todd. Responsibility for examinations, both internal and external rests with Ms Adams Extra Curricular Matters Overall responsibility for all extra-curricular matters rests with the Assistant Headteacher Mr Gibson Trips and Visits: If there are any concerns or questions over a particular activity the key person for each student will be the organiser of the activity, and he/she will normally be the first point of contact. Mr Gable takes responsibility for collecting the payments. The Trips and Visits Co-ordinator is Mr Gibson, and he should be contacted in case of financial hardship or other matters that cannot be resolved by the organiser of the activity. Lunchtime arrangements If there are concerns relating to the cashless payment system, these should be referred to Mr Gable. For general concerns about the catering or lunchtime supervision arrangements contact Mr Gable. A member of the senior management team is always on duty, supported by other members of staff. Mr Gable will also deal with queries about transport.
