Studying GCSE History involves lots of different activities as well as different topics.

Students use ICT for research and presenting ideas. There is a website to support them in their work (www.HistorySupport.net).

To help with revision there are voluntary lunch time or after school revision classes during Year 11. During lessons students use individual white boards and games like word bingo to help revise key words.

Many students enjoy History so much at GCSE that they go on to take AS Level History at Prior Pursglove. At AS Level there are options to study Ancient Civilisations, Tudor History, or Twentieth Century History. Click here to find out more about AS Level History.
