Year 7 & 9 History Club - Time Capsule Project - Summer 2008
This project built on earlier ventures to create time capsules to mark the opening of the Humanities Block (2001) and Resources Centre (2005). It involved students in collecting information to include in a time capsule to commemorate the end of the old Huntcliff school building and the opening of the new building for Secondary Students (Autumn Term 2008).
Following an assembly explaining the idea of a time capsule, all Huntcliff students were given the opportunity to contribute an index card with their thoughts and / or a small object to be part of the time capsule. A small but dedicated team of volunteers then worked together to sort and put together the contents of the time capsule. These included photos of the old school building, a photo of the current Year 11, as well as all the different contributions from each different form group.
