Policy for Charity Work at Huntcliff School

Principles

We at Huntcliff School are committed to supporting charities. We will hold six fund raising events per year. Three Charities will be ones that we continually support. The other three will be chosen by the school population at the start of each year. An important part of this work is not only to raise funds but also raise awareness. We will aim to vary the type of fund raising event to focus attention and create interest.

Practice

• The school council will decide the three charities that are continually supported – this will be reviewed every two years.
• We aim to introduce the use of technology to survey the school population regarding the three charities that are supported on a yearly basis.
• The charities working party will be responsible in conjunction with the link teacher to organise a range of suitable events to create interest.
