Ultimately Geography is the study of the world around us. We learn about different landscapes and environment why they are there, how they were formed and how ultimately they affect us.

With Physical Geography (which we study in Y10) you will learn features such as Volcanoes, Mountains, great world rivers and dramatic glacial landscapes. However, we also consider how what impact people have upon these environments and how they are managed.

We learn about topical issues that are affecting the world such as global warming, recent earthquakes and tsunamis.

You can go on at A-level and university to study these further and even widen your interests and study such topics as, the rainforest, Antarctica, great coastal features at both local , national and international scales.
