The Geography club's first project was to design and construct a working model of a Volcano. The squad decided to construct a volcano using the method involving a chemical reaction with bicarbonate soda and vinegar. When these two substances are combined - with a dash of red food colouring for the colour - the result is a spectacular eruption of foam.

The stages in making the Volcano:

Step 1: The group and Mr. Laird researched a variety of web sites which offered information for creating Volcanoes, from start to
finish. This included looking at the different methods in creating explosions, and also the different visual effects including
           exterior painting and decoration etc.

Step 2: The best method was chosen, and from this the group created a plan of action which included materials that were needed and
what steps would be taken in accordance to the method of creation.
