China 2012: The Plan

What the project involves for the students:

Students will act as a 'buddy' to the Chinese visitors in July and help create a video diary of this event
They will pass on their cultural knowledge and understanding to the new year 7 students, developing their communication skills.
They will visit China in May 2012 and be given the opportunity to help and develop Chinese students' English skills as well as broadening their own cultural understanding.
On return to the U.K students will complete their own video diary of the experience during activities week 2010 and host a China evening to present this back to the school and the wider community.

Expected outcomes of the project

The widening of students cultural 'horizons'
Preparing students for a life in an ever changing world
Encourage students to value the difference and diversity which makes the world such an interesting place.
