Initial Choices

I hope that you have found this Website useful in helping you to start and think about your options choices.

What we would like you to do now is the following...

1. Look at your Year 9 progress check and your predicated GCSE grades sheet to see which subjects you are doing well in

and write down the subject that you feel you are doing the best in.

 

2. Underneath this write down the subject you enjoy the most at school.

 

3. Now write down the job / career you are hoping to have once you finish your education (I know it seems a long way off and it may change!)

 

4. Next to this write down the subject which you believe is the most essential if you are to succeed in your chosen job / career.

 

5. Now show this to your parents and ask them what they think. Talk about your choices with them and especially the final fourth option. Make sure that this option helps to keep your options balanced. In other words, if like me you realise at the end of your GCSEs that actually you can’t draw and are therefore unlikely to become a successful architect, what else would your option choices allow you to do?

 

6. Talk to your parents about your reserve choices. We will endeavour to assign your main choices. However, it is not always possible to allocate every student to his/her four preferred choices. To enable us to give you the best possible match for your choices, we ask everyone to choose 2 reserve subjects.

7. Finally! Complete the form below and hit submit. This will send the information to the school admin team.

Whilst these are not your final options choices. You must take this task seriously as  the options blocks for the timetable and staffing will be put in place based on this information. PLEASE ONLY COMPLETE THE FORM ONCE.
